This Thursday evening, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Holliston High School’s National Honor Society will dust off their halloween costumes and hit the streets to collect non-perishables for the Holliston Pantry Shelf.
According to their website, “The Holliston Pantry Shelf supplies food free of charge to Holliston residents in need… The Pantry relies entirely on private donations and receives no municipal, state, or federal support.”
After going door to door, the food collected will be brought back to the high school where it will be sorted and delivered. According to NHS member and Senior Nate Haywood, fifty crates of food were collected last year.
If a student comes to your door and you wish to donate, the Pantry is looking for non-perishable, non-expired goods. Canned tuna and canned turkey are in high demand, but any and all donations are welcome.
If a student does not come to collect goods on Thursday, feel free to drop donations off at the High School.
