Like in any small town community, practically all of Holliston comes out to support the Holliston High School varsity football team at their games, which are usually fall on either a Friday or Saturday night.
Kids from local schools come to hang out with friends and cheer on their team, while spirit-filled adults flood the bleachers to watch Holliston dominate the turf. Admission is usually just a few bucks, and the snack shack is well stocked with all of the typical concession foods that warm and fill you up.
So far this season, Panthers have not disappointed their dedicated fanbase.
Their only loss has been against the infamous Holliston rival Westwood, after a nail biting game which ended in double
overtime with a score of 43 to 41.
However, with that being the only blemish on Holliston’s near-perfect record, their fans are starting to hope for another shot at the “Super Bowl,” a game which would be played at Gillette Stadium.
To add to their winning record, Holliston’s latest “black out” game against Medway was a close victory. After an intense game Holliston pulled out an impressive win, with the game ending in a final score of 33 to 19.
This coming week, Holliston High School is having their annual homecoming dance after the varsity football team has their game against Medfield under the lights.
The theme for the dance this year is American, which will involve a lot of red, white, and blue, so come prepared!
Feel free to both come support the Holliston High School varsity football team and also have a blast afterwards at the dance!
