“Look to this day, for it is life, the very life of life”

Pink. It doesn’t just stand for a girl anymore. Every three minutes a woman in the United States is diagnosed with Breast Cancer. For the past ten years, Holliston Walks Against Breast Cancer has helped the Dana Farber Cancer Institute raise awareness and money for finding a cure for breast cancer. Since its start in 2003, the walk in Holliston has donated $450,000 to DFCI.

On Sunday October 20th, the town of Holliston will hold the eleventh annual walk against breast cancer at the town hall. The walk itself is only 5 miles, quick and easy. Concessions will be sold at the end of the walk and the winners of the raffle will be revealed. Registration is open at the Holliston Walks website (see link below). Students need only raise $50 to participate. All proceeds go towards the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, so come join in!

“We dedicate this WALK with love to Maryellen Miller, whose determination, courage and grace inspire us and keep us walking toward a cure.” – Holliston Walks
